How to photograph your items to get the best quote

Published

What slows down a quote most is dark, too-close or incomplete photos. A few minutes of good photography saves you a lot of back-and-forth.

Before you shoot

  • Wipe off dust where you can.
  • Open the curtains or switch on the lights.
  • Keep unrelated items out of the frame.

What to capture

  • The whole piece from the front.
  • A close-up of any scratch or fault. Hiding it will not help you.
  • The label with the model number on appliances.

Finally, mention your district and whether the building has a lift.
